IV17514: TACMD EDITUSER -A COMMAND DO NOT RETURN ERROR WHEN AN INVALID APPLICATION IS ADDED

Error description

  • tacmd editUser -a is not returning an error when an invalid
    application is added to the list of allowed applications.
    
    RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
     Run the following cli to add a non existing application:
     > tacmd edituser -i myUser -p Applications="Linux OS,
       NotExistingApp" -f -s localhost -u sysadmin
       Password?
       KUICEU001I Validating user credentials...
       KUICEU002I The user cate has been successfully edited on the
                  TEPS located at http://localhost:1920.
    
     On the other side if the NotExistingApp is specified as first
     item in the list of "-p" option an error is correctly shown
    
     > tacmd edituser -i myUser -p Applications="NotExistingApp" -f
       -s localhost -u sysadmin
      Password?
      KUICEU001I Validating user credentials...
      KUICEU010E The editUser command failed because the value
      specified for Application name is incorrect. Please refer to
      the e:\IBM\ITM\logs\UserAndGroupCLI_0.log for details.

    invalid application is added, for example:
    
    > tacmd editUser -i myUser -p Applications="Linux OS,
    NotExistingApp" -f -s localhost -u sysadmin

    KUICEU002I The user cate has been successfully edited on the
    TEPS located at http://localhost:1920.
    
    In this case however, if NotExistingApp is specified as first
    item in the "-p" option, an error is correctly shown:
    
    > tacmd editUser -i myUser -p Applications="NotExistingApp" -f
    -s localhost -u sysadmin

    KUICEU010E The editUser command failed because the value
    specified for Application name is incorrect.  Please refer to

Problem conclusion

  • The command has been updated to properly raise an error if an
    invalid application is specified.
