Error description
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In some environments, tacmd response time is very slow. Through tracing, the problem was initially narrowed down to the CandleGetJavaHome routine and then further narrowed down to the dynarch.shl routine. The code that determines the CLASSPATH value for ITM requires optimization. RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS: Run any tacmd incantation the problem environment. LOCAL FIX: None.

Problem summary
"tacmd" and "itmcmd" commands perform slowly. In some environments, the "tacmd" and "itmcmd" commands run slowly. Analysis of running processes shows a lot of time spent in "find" commands being run by the dynarch.shl script.
Problem conclusion
The code was changed to remove the "find" incantations that were slowing things down. The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance packages: | fix pack | 6.2.2-TIV-ITM-FP0008 | fix pack | 6.2.3-TIV-ITM-FP0002
