Error description

• The VoucherAdjustment adjustment type is not issuing coupons to
  customers as expected.  The system log indicates that the
  promotion is being qualified, and the PX_PROMOARG table records
  it being applied to the order, but no coupon issuances are being
  recorded in the PX_COUPON table for the customer to redeem.

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
  WebSphere Commerce users on v6 and v7 that make use of the
  promotion VoucherAdjustment adjustment type.
  
  PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
  Promotion coupons are not being issued to customers even though
  the promotion conditions are met.
  
  BUSINESS IMPACT:
  Shoppers were not being issued coupons into their coupon wallet.
  
  RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• A defect in the CouponDaemon class caused an exception to be
  raised, preventing the coupon from being recorded in the
  PX_COUPON table.  Applying this iFix will resolve the exception
  in the CouponDaemon class by retrieving the required shopper
  information through a different code path.
