Problem summary

  • When you are running two tasks concurrently such as e-mail
notification and promotion, the following exception might occur:

java.lang.ClassCastException:
<WSRR_TYPE_1>
incompatible with
<WSRR_TYPE_2>

Problem conclusion

  • Concurrent threads could pick up an incorrect class instance
when processing WSRR object types retrieved from the WSRR
database. This results in the wrong object being used for
assignment.

The code has been fixed to prevent this from occurring.

This fix is targeted for inclusion in fix pack 5 for WSRR v6.3.
