APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The HUB_NAME shows up in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal situation
  editor even though it was not explicitly assigned when the
  situation was created.
  
  RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
  From the Tivoli Enterprise Portal clients siutation editor
  create a new situation from the Tivoli Enterprise Management
  Server node in the situation editor tree. Distribute *HUB to the
  situation and press ok to dismiss the situation editor dialog.
  Reopen the situation you just created and select the
  "Distribution" tab. You will see along with *HUB the hub name in
  assigned list for distributions even though it was not
  explicitly assigned when the situation was created.

Local fix

• Simply remove the HUB_NAME element from the assigned panel back
  to the available panel.
  

Problem summary

• A monitoring server situation distributed to *HUB will display
  as distributed to the HUB managed system name as well.
  
  
  In the portal client situation editor, the distribution tab upon
  creation will display *HUB. When the situation editor is closed
  and then reopened, the situation distribution tab will not only
  show *HUB but the HUB managed system name as well. This occurs
  because the HUB sends two events to the portal server indicating
  the situation has been distributed to both *HUB and the HUB
  managed system name.
  

Problem conclusion

• The portal server now identifies the second event and ignores
  it.
  
  The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
  packages:

Temporary fix

• Recycle the portal server and the additional distribution goes
  away.
