APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the Operations Center is installed and configured,  the
password expiration period for the IBM Spectrum Protect
IBM-OC* admin may be unexpectedly set different from the default
value of 90 days, causing the IBM-OC* administrator to use the
global setting for the password expiration period (visible by
Q STATUS) instead of the default and forced value of 90 days.



IBM Spectrum Protect Versions Affected:

All IBM Spectrum Protect Operations Center 8.1+ and later on
all platforms

Local fix

  • Run the server command:
UPDATE ADMIN <IBM-OC*> admin name > PASSEXP=90

Problem summary
