Error description
Decommissioning a node belonging to the IBM Spectrum Protect server 8.1.13 or newer using the OC may fail. This issue occurs when the following conditions are true: 1. Decommission a node using the OC (Decommission action in the Client page). 2. The server that the node belongs to is 8.1.13 or newer. 3. The node is configured for node replication. Error messages indicating a problem with remove replnode and decommission node. ANR2017I Administrator AAA issued command: REMOVE REPLNODE NODENAME ANR1992E REMOVE REPLNODE: The SERVER parameter is missing. ANR1633E DECOMMISSION NODE: Node nodename is set up for replication and cannot be renamed or removed. When the user selects decommission action in the OC, it will perform both action "remove replnode" and then "decommission node". The hub server will issue the command "remove replnode" to the corresponding server using an incorrect command syntax. REMOVE REPLNODE NODENAME While this command syntax is correct at server level 8.1.12 and earlier, it is incorrect in 8.1.13 and newer. Server 8.1.13 and newer require an additional parameter to be specified "SERVER=servername". 1. Decommission node using the command line. 2. Or before decommissioning a node in the OC, issue the command remove replnode from the command line.
