  • Problem description:
    
    
    Starting at 8.1.8.000 and 7.1.10.000 Spectrum Protect server
    version, when attempting to perform  a 'restore db',  the server
    does not prompt for a password, even though PROMPT=YES is the
    default.

Local fix

  • Local Fix:
    
    
    Problem can be bypassed by specifying PROMPT=NO and PASSWORD=,
    or by specifying RESTOREKEYS=YES or RESTOREKEYS=ONLY on the
    'restore db' command.
