Error description

  • The QUERY PROCESS command appears to show the Replicate Node
    process has completed all its work. For example :

    Subsequent QUERY PROCESS commands show no change with the
    process status and its statistics.
    
    If the process is manually cancelled with the CANCEL PROCESS
    process or if the process was started by an admin schedule and
    the schedule maxruntime is reached, the process status changes
    to "Replication is terminating" and the process does not end.
    For example :

    It is necessary to stop and restart the Spectrum Protect
    server to stop the hung replication process.

    Versions Affected:
    Spectrum Protect server 8.1.10.0 and above on all platforms.
    

Local fix

  • To prevent the hang, run the following Spectrum Protect
    server administrative command :
      SETOPT ReplDeletePriority LOW
    Once the fix is applied, run the following Spectrum Protect
    server administrative command :
      SETOPT ReplDeletePriority HIGH
