IT35227: LOGIN TO OPERATIONS CENTER 8.1.11 WILL FAIL WITH ERROR IF NON DEFAULT PORT IS IN USE

Error description

  • After a successful installation of the IBM Spectrum Protect
    Operations Center as level 8.1.11 using the non default (11090)
    port, the login will not show up and instead the following
    error will be displayed on web page:
    
    
    WebLoging Message: https://<ipaddress>:<non_default_port>/oc Not
    Found The application or context root for this request has not
    been found: /oc
    
    
    The problem will occur only if a different port than the default
    one (port 11090) was defined in the bootstrap.properties file
    located in
    
    for Linux and AIX :
    installation_dir/ui/Liberty/usr/servers/guiServer
    for Windows : installation_dir\ui\Liberty\usr\servers\guiServer

    IBM Spectrum Operations Center v.8.1.11 on all supported
    platforms

Local fix

  • On the IBM Spectrum Protect Operations Center machine, go to the
    following directory, where installation_dir represents the
    directory in which the Operations Center is installed:
    
        Linux/AIX --->
    installation_dir/ui/Liberty/usr/servers/guiServer
        Windows --->
    installation_dir\ui\Liberty\usr\servers\guiServer
    
    
    Open the server.xml and edit the virtual host definition to
    reflect the port entered at install time or set via the
    instructions documented here:
    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEQVQ_8.1.11/srv.in
    stall/t_oc_inst_secport_config.html
