APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The bipbroker process (Admin Agent) can handle 100 (default)
locally connected Integration API (IAPI) clients at the same
time. This limit can be configured by changing the value of the
maxLocalIAPIClients property of the agent's DeployThreadManager
object using the mqsichangeproperties command. If the maximum
number of local IAPI client connections has been reached, and a
new connection request is received, the bipbroker process
rejects the request and a BIP2112 ''Could not launch a handler
for a local CMP connection" error is logged to the system log.
But whenever this occurs, a socket file handle is leaked and
the process may eventually be unable to allocate new file
    handles.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The bipbroker process (Admin Agent) can handle 100 (default)
locally connected Integration API (IAPI) clients at the same
time. This limit can be configured by changing the value of the
maxLocalIAPIClients property of the agent's DeployThreadManager
object using the mqsichangeproperties command. If the maximum
number of local IAPI client connections has been reached, and a
new connection request is received, the bipbroker process
rejects the request and the following error is written to the
    syslog:

BIP2112E: Integration node internal error: diagnostic
information ''Could not launch a handler for a local CMP
    connection''

But whenever this occurs, a socket file handle is leaked and the
process may eventually be unable to allocate new file
    handles.

Problem conclusion

  • The product no longer leaks a socket handle when a new thread
cannot be started to handle the local IAPI client connection
    request.
