APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• On a Spectrum Protect server running on Windows, customer wants
  to set option "sandiscoverytimeout" to a specific value and get
  an error when server starts:
  
  ANR0902W Unsupported keyword or invalid value found in file
  
  F:\XXXXX\TSMSRV\Server1\dsmserv.opt.
  ANR0906I Line No. : 31
  ANR0907I Statement : sandiscoverytimeout 60 ANR0908W Error :

  IBM Spectrum Protect versions affected:
  
  all supported platforms running Windows OS.
  
  
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
  
  According to documentation "Administrator's  Reference for
  Windows version XXX" this option exists and could be modified.
  So we have a mismatch between documentation and server code, as
  Spectrum Protect server running on Windows platform have not
  this option. We need to add this option to Windows platform.
  

Local fix

• Do not use this option, remove it from server option file.

Problem conclusion

• In IBM Knowledge Center, in the SANDISCOVERYTIMEOUT topic, the
  Microsoft Windows icon will be removed to indicate that this
  option is not supported on the Windows operating system. In the
  Administrator's Reference for Windows, the SANDISCOVERYTIMEOUT
  topic will be removed.
