When inserting BLOB data into an Oracle database the insert failed and returned an Oracle error message. The error message can vary but most commonly was ORA-01483 or ORA-01461.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM Integration Bus V10 and IBM App Connect Enterprise V11 using Oracle ODBC. Platforms affected: AIX, HP-UX Itanium platform, Linux on Power platform, Linux on x86-64 platform, Linux on zSeries platform, Solaris x86-64 platform, Solaris SPARC platform, Windows on x86-64 platform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A failure occurred when trying to insert BLOB data of certain specific sizes into an Oracle database. The sizes of the data being inserted that leads to the error are 3997 to 4000 single byte characters or 7994 to 8000 double byte characters. Different Oracle error messages have been reported for this problem, they included ORA-03120, ORA-01461 and ORA-01483.
Problem conclusion
