Error description

  • When using HTTPInput node, even though the message flow threads
remain idle for longer than the maxConnectionAge, the active
database connections for idle threads are not released. Message
flows with MQInput node do not experience this issue.

All users of App Connect Enterprise V11 using  ODBC Database
connectivity


Platforms affected:
AIX, Linux on x86-64 platform, Linux on zSeries platform,
Windows on x86-64 platform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Message flow with HttpInput node does  not release  active
database connections even though the message flow threads remain
idle for  more than maxConnectionAge period. The message flows
with MQInput node do not experience this issue.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The product now releases the  database connections  if the
message flow remains idle for more than maxConnectionAge timeout
value.
