Error description
Hyper-v virtual machine backup will fail if there are multiple iSCSI initiators with the same IQN on Hyper-V server. As an example, the following error messages can be seen from the virgo log: [timestamp] INFO pool-393-thread-1 c.c.e.s.common.storage.vsnap.VsnapStorageConnection 1563372651210 param: {"name":"04fe9ebc-faef-384f-9005-e0ddc16e2978-1563372708","iqns" :[" iqn.yyyymm.backward-naming-authority:unique-device-name","iqn.yy yymm.backward-naming-authority:unique-device-name","iqn.yyyymm.b ackward-naming-authority:unique-device-name"]} ...... Problem conclusion
In certain circumstances a duplicate iSCSI IQN is passed when trying to map the backup storage volume to the hypervisor host. This caused an error when attempting to map those disks. A correction was made in the software to prevent this condition.
