APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a consumer .properties file containing sasl.mechanism is
configured for Kafka connectors, its seen that the KafkaConsumer
node ignores the Security protocol value and the connection is
always attempted as PLAINTEXT.

Local fix

  • set security.protocol in the .properties file.

Problem summary

USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM Integration Bus version v10 with <span
style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">KafkaConsumer node
having configurations in properties file.</span>


Platforms affected:
z/OS, MultiPlatform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
<span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">When a

property value set on the node. </span>
