APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In the event that an import is done which brings up a
standby-control object that happens to have a NULL or invalid
VIP (such as 127.0.0.1) it is then possible for the import to
cause a reload when committing that standby-control object.

Local fix

  • Change the VIP to use an appropriate value that is not NULL.
(As well as avoid importing a default domain due to the network
configuration behavior becoming unexpected)

Problem summary

  • The fix will prevent the DataPower from restarting if the
interface for the standalone interface does not have an IPv4
address configured.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix will be in 2018.4.1.9
