APAR status

Error description

  • The Informix JDBC driver will throw a Java null pointer
exception when a TEXT column is retrieved.

[java.lang.NullPointerException
    at com.informix.jdbc.IfxLob.getPortion(IfxLob.java:284)
    at
com.informix.jdbc.IfxCblob.getSubString(IfxCblob.java:287)

This is a regression with Informix JDBC 14.50.JC1 as the same
does not reproduce with version
4.10.JC11.
