Error description

  • Installation of IBM Spectrum Protect Backup/Archive Client for
    Windows may fail with the error message panel:
    ---
    Error 2753: The file 'dsmcutil.exe.(hex codes)' is not marked
    for installation.
    ---
    
    The error can occur when B/A client is attempted to be installed
    where other IBM Spectrum Protect products with an uplevel API
    are installed on the same system.
    
    For example,  the client 8.1.4 installation fails when IBM
    Spectrum Protect Server 8.1.6 or higher was already installed
    because the client API files 8.1.6.0 are located in
    C:\Windows\System32.

    IBM Spectrum Protect Client all supported version on Windows
    platform
