IT29235: IBM SPECTRUM CONTROL ALERT POLICIES COMPONENT SELECTION IS LOST

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Edit alert policies for Custom alerts category, add performance
  condition with non-default metric may change the user's
  selection component.
  When try edit or create a custom alert in SC GUI for the Alert
  Policies and add a performance alert condition member
  , the Component Selection is set back to the value 'Storage
  Systems' instead of the selected component category for example
  Volume, Pool or Port components.
  This does NOT happen when select an existing default metric in
  the drop down selection list of the available Performance
  Monitor metrics.
  

Local fix

• This problem is fixed in version 5.3.3
