APAR status

Error description

  • Running "sudo ./logcollect" on the IBM Spectrum Protect
    Plus server produces an error that the command failed
    but most of the logs are collected.
    This problem only occurs when external VADP proxies are enabled.
    Example:

     Collecting logs of virgo, virgo.console, mongo, postgres,
    rabbitmq, oda, vmdkbackup, vmdkbackupproxy, ecxdeployer,
    release, nodejscdmservice, adminconsole, vsnap, vami
       There has been some problem while collecting logs.
       Reason (Some errors were encountered while archiving logs for
    one or more apps). Please see the log file for more details.
     The log file for the logcollect process
    (/opt/ECX/tools/logcollect/logs)
    shows:

Problem conclusion

  • This problem has been fixed by adjusting the mechanism to
