Local fix

  • On the Oracle host machine, open an sqlplus session to
the database named in the "KeyError" message. Shut it down
using "shutdown immediate". Depending on the state of the
database, "shutdown abort" might be needed to shut
down the database. Once it is down, retry the restore.

Problem conclusion

  • During an Oracle inventory, backup, or restore, if the Oracle
server contains a database instance that is started but is in
NOMOUNT mode, then the details of the database cannot be
queried, resulting in the job failing entirely. The problem has
been resolved by skipping over databases running in NOMOUNT mode
so that the job continues running and attempts to discover the
    details of other databases.
