Error description

  • Problem description:
    The IBM Spectrum Protect server, with file type device classes
    may suffer a memory leak in ssclass.c class.
    
    Below example from "show alloc" run at regular intervals shows
    the
    memory usage of ssclass.c growing over time.
    This situation can finally lead to system crash due to running
    out of memory
    if the server is not being restarted before.
