IT28691: VMWARE CLONE RESTORE FROM TEST FAILS AFTER FAILED MOVE TO PRODUCTION

Error description

• After an IBM Spectrum Protect Plus VMWare restore, there are
  several actions that can be performed on the job once it
    completes. The actions that can be done are Cleanup, Move
    to Production (vMotion) and Clone (vMotion). In the event
    a Move to Production is selected, but the option to overwrite
    the VM is not checked the action will fail with the following:
  
      Load hypervisor data: VM (VMNAME) exists but the overwrite
        VM option is disabled. Enable the option or delete the VM
        before retrying.
  
    Then a subsequent action to Clone the restore fails as well,
    due to an overwrite as seen above. The additional messages in
    the joblog reports that an attempt to do the Move to
    Production and the Clone was being done:

    The issue is a failed action attempts to run again when

Problem conclusion

• This error occurs only when trying to move an active test
  restore VM to clone after failing to move it to production.
  Changes were made in version 10.1.3 patch 1 to allow a VM to be
  moved from test to clone even after failing to move it to
  production.
