Error description

  • Backup-Archive Client may crash immediately during start up,
    when on the Spectrum Protect Server and the Storage Agent, SSL
    is  set to YES and in the Backup-Archive Client options file
    SSL=YES and LANFREE=YES are being used.

    Spectrum Protect Client 7.1.8 and above and 8.1.2 and above on
    all platforms

Problem conclusion

  • Now LAN-free works correctly when
    1. Spectrum Protect Server define a Storage Agent Server with
    SSL=YES.
    2. On the Storage Agent set SSL=YES
    3. On the BA client set SSL=YES and LANFREESSL=YES in the client
    options file.
