IT27885: MULTIPLE SPECTRUM CONTROL PROBE JOBS MAY RUN AGAINST 1 STORAGE RESOURCE AGENT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Duplicate entries can exist in T_SCHEDULE table when adding the
  Storage Resource Agent deploying the same server but using its
  IP address instead of the host name and vice versa.
  1. have the server added as agentless in SC
  2. deploy the server using the full host name and probe
  3. deploy once again the same server using this time its IP
  address and probe
  
  Two entries for the same server are now in the T_SCHEDULE table
  and all subsequent probes on the server are failing.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * When redeploying a Spectrum Control SRA to the same host     *
  * server, if the host specification is different from the      *
  * original                                                     *
  * deployment (such as using IP address instead of the hostname *
  * and vice versa) then you could end up with duplicate entries *
  * in the database for the same SRA server.                     *
  *                                                              *
  * If that occurs then you would have 2 scheduled probes        *
  * which could overlap and cause the failed probe problem.      *

  * Apply fix maintenance when available                         *
