• During an incremental SQL database backup, the
  backup may appear to hang when there are
  millions (Example: tens of millions) of changes blocks.

  The above example shows a 10+ hour backup appear
   to hang.

Problem conclusion

• IBM Spectrum Protect Plus has improved the algorithm for
  identifying/merging/filtering overlapped changed blocks, and
  keeping the those changed blocks for back up after that
