IT27723: MQINPUT NODE DOES NOT COMPLETE READING A BATCH OF VARIABLE LENGTH MQ GROUP MESSAGES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A message flow processing a batch of variable length MQ
  messages as an MQ group may stop picking up messages from the
  input queue even though all the messages in the group are
  available and have the correct logical message sequence
  numbers.
  
  This will only occur if some of the variable sized MQ messages
  are greater than 102400 bytes in length.
  
  This is due to APAR PI90759 that was added in Fix Pack 12 of
  IBM Integration Bus v10 (IIB 10.0.0.12).

Local fix

• Set or export the environment variable
  MQSI_MQINPUT_BUFFER_MONITORING_THRESHOLD to a value greater
  than the length of the longest message in the group.
  

Problem summary

  Enterprise V11 using MQ message groups.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

Problem conclusion

• The MQInput node will no longer resize the MQ buffer, which
  involves disconnecting from the queue manager, when in the
  middle of processing an MQ group of messages.
