IT27678: IBM SPECTRUM CONTROL GUI EXPORT PERFORMANCE DATA MAY DISPLAY 'PERFORMANCE DATA UNAVAILABLE FOR THE TIME INTERVAL'

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When try export performance data using SC GUI panel and define a
  custom time-frame interval older than 14-days in the past, the
  message "Performance data unavailable for the time interval"
  display in the GUI.
  A custom time interval requires the Advanced check box enabled
  which under current design will automatically select the
  performance 'by sample' data retrieval.
  These sample performance data has limited availability due to
  history retention of 14-day period, usually defined by IBM
  Spectrum Control design.
  It is not clearly explained in the GUI panel why the export
  cannot find data if specify a retrieval time interval randomly
  within a month for example.
  For more advanced customization of performance retrieval it is
  needed the user try the CLI export tool instead of GUI export
  panel and specify hourly or daily performance data.
