APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The following error message is erroneously reported in the
    dsmffdc.log during  client backup sessions:
    
    [ FFDC_GENERAL_SERVER_ERROR ]: (admactlg.c:5684) Client Type for
    node=<node name> is not system nor VM. Skipping.
    
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics:
    This should be an informational logging message rather than an
    error level logging message.  By default informational messages
    will not be included in the FFDC.
    
    Basically, that message tells that there will be no security
    alert for this client in the Operations Center if the amount of
    data backed up is not in line with the average backups for this
    client.
    At this time, clients that use the API (including Data
    Protection clients) are not included in this detection.
