IT25808: ASSERT FAILURE (ABEND) WHEN PROCESSING A MESSAGE

Error description

• Customer is getting an abend when processing a message with an
  assert failure. This use to work in message broker V8 but now
  fails. The assert was added if a customer has not set the
  message set but in this  particular case, it worked and the
  elements were self defining.
  This APAR will allow this scenario to work as per V8.

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of IBM Integration Bus V10.0 and IBM App Connect
  Enterprise V11.0 using the MRM.
  
  
  Platforms affected:
  MultiPlatform, z/OS

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  The integration server abends with an assertion failure when
  parsing an XML message in the MRM domain. The stderr file
  contains the following assertion failure:
  
  Assertion '_dict != __null' failed.
  
  This message flow parsing was successful in Message Broker V8.0
  but now fails from IIB 10.0.0.2. The assert check was added to
  catch the situation where the MRM message set had not been
  defined, but in this particular case the elements were self
  defining and a message set dictionary was not required.
  

Problem conclusion

• The product now does not assert that the message set dictionary
  has to be set when processing MRM XML messages.
