Error description

  • The Java GUI for the Backup-Archive client fails to launch after
    upgrading from BA Client 7.1.8.3 to BA Client 8.1.4.
    The GUI remains stuck in the loading screen at 75% at checking
    agent port number.
    
    Versions Affected:
    Backup-Archive client GUI after upgrading from level 7.1.8.3 to
    8.1.4.

Problem conclusion

  • A newer Java is used in 8.1.4.1 and does not exhibit this
    problem.
