APAR status

Error description

• Spectrum Protect server version 8.1.5 introduced automatic
  container defragmentation for directory-containers.
  The server checks for container fragmentation and automatically
  runs defragmentation for containers surpassing thresholds
  controlled by the DEFRAGCNTRTRIGGER and DEFRAGFSTRIGGER.
  
  
  The automatic defragmentation will not be able
  to start as it requires FsFreeSpace to be twice
  the size, or greater, than the dedup container size.
  
  A server SDCNTR  SDDEFRAG trace will show when 0 free space:
  [GetDefragMaxConcurrent]:FS FreeMB 0, containerSize XXXX
  under this condition, when automatic defragmentation is not seen
  as running.

  Spectrum Protect versions affected:
  Server  8.1.5.x and higher on all supported platforms

Local fix

• Add stgpooldir space to the container pool so that 'FsFreeSpace'
   under 'show sdpool pool_name' is twice the size of container
  size as defined by
  DEDUPCONTAINERSIZE value.
