APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The allowed file sizes that can be sent to DataPower using the
    REST management or the XML management interfaces (SOMA/AMP) are
    too small to accommodate the existing maximum firmware sizes.
    These allowances are increased.
    

Local fix

  • Manually modify xml parser limits to a valid configuration
    given the hardware platform and size using:
    co;
    xml parser limits xmlmgmt-manager
    max-node-size 2147483649
    exit
    

Problem summary

  • Affected is uploading files to DataPower using REST or XML
    Management interfaces. Virtual formfactors running below the
    7.5.0.16 and 7.5.1.15 fix levels may encounter a startup error
    "bytes-scanned '2147483648' is not valid." .
    The allowed file sizes that can be sent to DataPower are too
    small to accommodate the existing maximum firmware sizes.
