APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The IBM Spectrum Protect HSM for Windows Recall Service does not
    delete the temporary retrieved file in the folder
    ../hsmclient/tmp/hsmservice under the following conditions: If
    the recall event is cancelled and if part of or all file content
    has been retrieved to the temporary location on disk and the
    write step to the original location has not started, then the
    temporary file remains in the ../hsmclient/tmp/hsmservice
    folder. Space problems in the temporary location have been
    observed, when a lot of file recalls have been cancelled. The
    temporary folder is cleaned up during restart of the hsmservice.
