IT24342: SLA POLICY STATUS NOT UPDATED WHILE THE SLA IS RUNNING

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • While a SLA is running, the Policy Status is not updated as
    expected. Because of this failure, the progress of the SLA can
    not be monitored.
    After SLA completion, when downloading the log file, an empty
    file is downloaded.
    
    This is caused by a timing issue between CentOS network manager
    and the RabbitMQ services in IBM Spectrum Protect Plus. If
    RabbitMQ services start before the network manager was able to
    contact DNS and get the hostname associated to the IP address
    given to the appliance during deployment, this issue is seen.

Problem conclusion

  • This problem has been resolved by improving auto-restart handlin
    for services that control the logging framework.
