APAR status

Error description

  • When the devclass option LBPROTECT is set to READWRITE the
    following errors may happen when reading data from tapes  (
    restore or move  or reclaim or copy ):
    
      ANR9999D_2072472200 PvrGtsPos(pvrgts.c:xx) Thread<yy>: Illegal
      block offset for tape volume VOL001: pos=1022760.262140,
      size=262140.
    
    or
    
      ANR9999D_1810146427 PvrGtsRead(pvrgts.c:xx) Thread<yy>:
      Illegal block offset for tape volume VOL002:
      pos=3542749.262140, block size=262140.
    
    There is a block  boundary condition that causes the above
    errors.
    
    IBM Spectrum Protect server Versions Affected: all V7.1.x and
               V8.1.x versions on all supported platforms
