Error description

• An ESQL PASSTHRU function call that performs an ODBC insert
  statement against a database table on SQL Server fails with the
  error "String data, right truncated. Error in parameter N" if
  the following conditions are true:
  
  - the insert statement includes the 'OUTPUT' clause,
  - and the Nth column string data is longer than 999 characters.
  
  When the insert statement contains the OUTPUT clause, the
  DataDirect SQL Server wire protocol ODBC driver incorrectly
  describes all parameters as data type SQL_VARCHAR(999).

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
