APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Using the IBM Spectrum Control GUI to collect the service logs
    doesn't gather the db2support.zip.  This occurs on Windows only
    when the directory path for the Spectrum Control installation
    contains a space. (e.g. Program Files\IBM\TPC).
    
    Navigate in the IBM Spectrum Control GUI:
    Home -> System Management -> Get Support -> then press "Collect
    Log" button.
    The resulting SCServiceFiles_all_<timestamp>.zip archive
    contains only the DBServiceInfo.html file in the DBService.zip.
    
    The DBServiceInfo.html shows an error like:
    
    Cmd str to execute is
    ->db2cmd /c /w /i db2support "C:\Program
    Files\IBM\TPC\wlp\usr\servers\webServer\serviceLog\db" -d TPCDB
    -s<-
    Error: "C:\Program" does not exist or is not a fully qualified
    path name.
    
    Running the service.bat from command line without arguments or
    with "-all" collects the db2support.zip correctly.
