Error description

  • On IBM Spectrum Protect for Mail ? Data Protection for Exchange
    or on IBM Spectrum Protect for Databases ? Data Protection for
    MS SQL the final backup statistics may report erroneously a
    value of 0 for field ?Files examined? while field ?Files
    completed? is greater than 0. Usually ?Files Examined? should be
     equal or greater to ?Files completed?.

    The issue is caused by an internal failed initialization for the
    backup statistics.
    No trace can be taken for verifying the problem, the only
    symptom is the wrong statistics and it can occur randomly.
    
    
    IBM Spectrum Protect Client version affected: All IBM Spectrum
    Protect Client and API v7.1.x and v8.1.x on all platforms

Problem conclusion
