Error description

  • By selecting the switch type of "Other" when adding a switch or
fabric to be monitored in Spectrum Control, you are allowed
multiple options for the agent data source but only one is
allowed per vendor. This lets a user incorrectly configure SNMP
agents for Brocade switches or CIM agents for Cisco switches.
As a result of the incorrect agent configuration, the probe or
performance monitor jobs might fail or report unexpected
results, including missing functionality. After adding these
data sources, there is no option to change or remove them. The
user can only remove the invalid data source by removing the
device and its associated data from Spectrum Control. The
Spectrum Control interface should not allow you to configure
invalid data sources for the switch and fabric agents. These
alternate data sources were supported for the switches in
previous versions of Spectrum Control but no longer are.
