IT23131: INTEGRATION NODE ABENDS ON SHUTDOWN IF INTEGRATION NODE LISTENERNOT STARTED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If an integration node has been configured to run without
  starting the integration node HTTP Listener, it may abend on
  shutdown with the following abend stack:
  
  ImbBrokerDirector::stopHABrokerInstance()
  ImbBrokerDirector::runBrokerDirectorCleanup()
  ImbBrokerDirector::run()
  ImbBrokerMain::start
  
  This is similar to previous APARs IT15727 and IT20124, but those
  APAR changes need to be extended. The integration node does not
  need to be configured for high availability for this problem to
  occur.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  All users of IBM Integration Bus V9.0 and V10.0 who have the
  integration node HTTP listener disabled.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

Problem conclusion

• The product now checks whether the HTTP Listener parameters have
  been set, and if set, whether they include a non-zero process id
  for the biphttplistener before attempting to shut the process
  down.
