IT23114: NULLPOINTEREXCEPTION IN JMS OUTPUT NODE

Error description

• If the JMS Provider throws an exception that has no linked
  exception then the following NullPointerException is thrown
  instead of the original root cause exception. this can obscure
  the real root cause of the problem:

Problem summary

  All users of IBM Integration Bus version 10 or higher using the
  JMS Nodes.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  If the JMS Provider throws an exception that has no linked
  exception then the following NullPointerException is thrown
  instead of the original root cause exception. this can obscure
  the real root cause of the problem:

  Additionally if the exception occurs during commit processing
  when the flow is using local transaction mode the root cause
  exception is not reported to the Syslog.
  

Problem conclusion

• A NullPointerException no longer occurs if there is no linked
  exception on an exception thrown by the JMS Provider.
  Additionally errors in the commit phase of local transactions
  for the JMS nodes are now processed correctly and a nested
  exception stack will be observed in the Syslog.
