Error description
The vSphere Web Client plug-in is used to redistribute the workload among the data movers of a VM backup schedule. The "Full rebalance of data movers" option is selected and the operation logs the following error in a vSphere web client window when the operation takes more than 180 seconds to complete. ------------------------------------------ (X) Failed GVM5002E An error occurred: Timeout exceeded Contact your administrator for assistance. ------------------------------------------ Although the error is logged, the rebalance operation does complete successfully. IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments Versions Affected Data Protection for VMware Version 8.1 and above. Both WIndows and Linux platforms are affected. Customer/L2 Diagnostics : Review the messages.log file on the system where IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments is installed. The file is located in the following directory : Windows : C:\IBM\tivoli\tsm\tdpvmware\webserver\usr\servers\veProfile\logs Linux : /opt/tivoli/tsm/tdpvmware/common/webserver/usr/servers/veProfile /logs The messages.log file will show the operation takes more than 180 seconds to complete but completes successfully.
