APAR status

Error description

• Attempting to backup a VMware Virtual Machine template can fail
  with the following messages found in the dsmerror.log of the
  data mover node :
  ANS4174E Full VM backup of VMware Virtual Machine '<vmname>'
  failed with RC=34 mode=Incremental Forever - Full, target node
  name='<datacenter_node>', data mover node
  name='<datamover_node>'
  ANS1228E Sending of object '<vmname>' failed.
  ANS0324E partialObjLength value for partial object retrieve is
  invalid.
  
  This will happen when the guest template is located on an ESXi
  host at version 5.5 (lower ESXi versions are not affected) and
  the vCenter Server is at version 6.0 or higher.
  
  Products affected:
  IBM Spectrum Protect Backup-Archive Client version
  7.1.2.0 and higher on Windows x64 and Linux x86 platforms.
  Note: The Backup-Archive Client is a prerequisite to using the
  Data Protection for VMware. In Data Protection for VMware
  environments, the Backup-Archive Client is also known as the
  data mover.
  
  This problem also affects IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual
  Environments: Data Protection for VMware 8.1.0. If you are using
  Data Protection for VMware 8.1, refer to APAR IT21333
