APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • For a spec-non-compliant XML request, the user observed that
DataPower WebService Proxy ran into timeout instead of quickly
alerting a XML parsing error while WS-Addressing was enabled
    (wsa-mode wsa2wsa).

Local fix

  • Disable WS-Addressing (wsa-mode sync2sync) or ensure valid XML
    request.

Problem summary

  • Affected are DataPower configurations with Web Service Proxy
    configured with frontside WS-Addressing.
An invalid request might result in the transaction hanging and
    timing out.
A similar defect has been addressed in release 7.5.2 via APAR
IT11090. Later releases are not affected.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix
