IT21658: IDOC MESSAGE DOES NOT GET CONVERTED TO XML IF MESSAGEFORMAT IN PROPERTIES IS CHANGED TO XML FROM IDOC.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• IDoc message does not get converted to XML if messageFormat in
  properties is changed to XML from IDoc
  
  If an incoming IDoc message property is modified to XML as
  below, during serialization
  
     SET OutputRoot.Properties.MessageFormat='XML';
  
  it should be serialized as XML. The issue is seen on
  v9006/v10.0.0.2 and
  above, where the same IDoc message is serialized.
  

Local fix

• Modify the esql as below
  
  SET OutputRoot.Properties.MessageFormat='XML';
  SET OutputRoot.XMLNSC = InputRoot.DataObject;

Problem conclusion

• The product now converts IDoc message to XML format when
  MessageFormat is set to 'XML'.
