APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • SNMP and TEC notification don't translate violation currentValue
like: "Error", "Not Normal", "Warning", etc. The value
displayed is a constant. In some older versions of Spectrum
Control, like 5.2.10 and earlier, it might also show as a
    numeric value.

    Email notifications are correct.

In the example below for a switch status SNMP alert for Spectrum
Control 5.2.10.1, the currentValue is "2", where that represents
"Error" and should be shown as that or translated into the
    appropriate language instead.

    [Event Processor] OID6: .1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.194.2.1.5
    [Event Processor] 6: 2
    [Event Processor] 6_raw: 2
    [Event Processor] 6_text: 2
    [Event Processor] 6_hex: 32
    [Event Processor] .1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.194.2.1.5: 2

    RECREATE STEPS:
    - Define an alert and the SNMP settings for a trap receiver,
such as loading the tivoliSRM.mib for your Spectrum Control
    version
    - Encounter a condition that triggers the alert
    - Review the alert at the trap receiver application
