Error description

  • DataPower configrations with heavy logging traffic might
    manifest delays in processing for some transactions.
    
    These delays can be seen as time spent within the extlatency PC
    step.
    

Local fix

  • reduce logging activity across the entire appliance.
    

Problem summary

  • Affected are DataPower installations running heavy load and
    using intensive logging.
    
    The transaction processing might manifest intermittent
    latencies of hundreds msec or more.
    
    Note that there are many possible sources of latency in an
    appliance running under load. The one mitigated by this APAR is
    just one of them.
