IT20560: INSTANT RESTORE IN THE EXTENSION INCORRECTLY SHOWS VVOL OPTION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After backing up a VM, if a user chooses Instant Restore in the
  IBM Spectrum Protect extension in the vSphere Web Client and has
  vVOL as a possible destination, then it will appear as an option
  for the restore.
  
  If the user then selects, vVOL an instant restore option, the
  restore will fail. In the dsmerror.log a series of messages like
  the following will appear:
  05/09/2017 11:10:09 ANS9413E The instant restore or instant
  access operation failed because these operations do not support
  virtual machines that are in virtual volume (VVOL) datastores.
  05/09/2017 11:10:09 ANS2411E Instant Restore/Access of virtual
  machine 'VVOL_DUMMY_VM' failed with rc = 6520
  05/09/2017 11:10:09 ANS4907E Instant restore of VMware Virtual
  Machine 'VVOL_DUMMY_VM' failed. target node
  name='CVTVVOL_VC65_VVOLDATACENTER', data mover node
  name='CVTVVOL_VC65_LOCAL_MP_WIN'
  
  The same error messages will also be present in the vmcli logs.
